Our Approach to the ACT/SAT

Lakeshore Academy offers courses to prepare for all aspects of the ACT and SAT. From foundational courses designed to familiarize students with real questions and strategies to supplemental courses in vocabulary building, English grammar, and mathematics review, Lakeshore teachers and staff can prepare your children to perform at their highest ability on test day.

ACT Courses Offered

There are two fundamental ACT courses offered at Lakeshore Academy:

  • English & Reading

  • Mathematics & Science

Both courses focus on the necessary strategies and include access to a curriculum of actual ACT exams to best prepare our students for the style and difficulty of questions to expect on the ACT.

SAT Courses Offered

There are two fundamental SAT courses offered at Lakeshore Academy:

  • Evidence-based Reading & Writing

  • Mathematics

In addition to these fundamental courses, Lakeshore Academy also provides separate courses in vocabulary building, essay writing, and literature as supplemental courses for English, reading, and writing, and courses in mathematical foundations and the sciences as a supplement to the skills learned in the math and science sections.
